Overview
ISO-WASH™ Water Soluble Laundry Bags provide a safe and compliant method to handle clothes contaminated with blood, bodily fluids, and other biohazards. Contaminated clothes are isolated from human contact by being placed in the ISO-WASH™ Water Soluble Laundry Bag.
In the Laundry:
- The closed ISO-WASH™ bag should be placed in the wash wheel or tunnel. Pre-sorting is contraindicated because the soiled clothing is assumed to be contaminated.
- During the inital cold flush cycle, the bag will open and begin to disintegrate, allowing contact with the clothing by the wash water.
- For complete liquefaction of the film, the following should be followed:
a. Do not overload the washer beyond its rated capacity.
b. Be sure the water temperature reaches at least 140° F during the wash cycle. - The 140° F water should swirl around the bagged clothes for 10-15 seconds BEFORE the wash chemicals, (detergent, alkali, etc.) are injected. By then, the bag will liquefy and become physically incapable of reforming into film.
